2009 and the Quantize Sessions is going from strength to strength. With over 200 shows, it certainly has been doing damage across the world through the podcasts.
In the mid 1990′s, I got hooked into a genre of music that was creeping more and more onto the nations airwaves and coolest clubs. I was fascinated into how two records could blend into each other with no pauses and sound as if they were one. I was hooked and ordered a set of turntables, began purchasing records, and set about learning how to mix them.
From developing my skills in the bedroom and at private parties, I landed my first gig in 1998 to a paying audience and from then there was always a huge demand for my mix CD’s. The influence at the time was Pete Tong and Danny Rampling who through their BBC Radio 1 programmes were shaping the world of dance music. Since the early days I have evolved, through the days of his University education to the current day. In sampling everything from soulful house, funky house, tech-house, trance and progressive, you could say that I have had a very good apprenticeship.
In 2003, I got into radio production when joining a friend at the station GTFM in South Wales. From there began the birth of the Quantize Sessions radio show, to which I now present weekly. The show has gained respect from a number of people in the industry and has featured guests from the likes of Pete Heller, Gabriel & Dresden, Jo Mills, Richard F and labels such as Azuli, Oxyd and Underwater have all been showcased. The popularity of the show grew throughout 2005 and has gone from strength to strength since.
